There was a lovely sense of creativity at The Manor House this week as residents came together for a May Day flower wreath making session.

Using a beautiful selection of artificial flowers and greenery, residents enjoyed crafting their own wreaths and flower arrangements. The faux blooms were ideal for the activity, giving everyone the chance to create colourful displays that can be enjoyed for a long time to come.

The photographs show residents and carers seated together around a table, working side by side and sharing ideas as the arrangements took shape. Joyce was pictured smiling proudly while holding up her finished wreath, while Sandra showed off her completed flower arrangement. A close-up image of Pat’s arrangement highlights the care and creativity that went into each piece, and one cheerful photo shows carer Owen wearing a finished wreath on his head, adding a touch of fun to the session.

Creative activities like this can support wellbeing by encouraging focus, conversation and self-expression, while also offering residents the satisfaction of making something personal and decorative. The finished wreaths and arrangements will now be proudly displayed in residents’ rooms, bringing ongoing colour and enjoyment to their surroundings.

Well done to all the residents who took part and created such fantastic floral displays.
