There was a lovely atmosphere at The Manor House as residents, families and friends came together for a sunny Garden Party to celebrate the opening of the home’s very own Air Bee n Bee.
Created to support and encourage local wildlife, the handmade habitat hotel is a thoughtful addition to the garden. Photographs show the finished Air Bee n Bee filled with logs, sticks, pinecones and stones to provide a welcoming space for insects, along with a cheerful sign marking the new feature. The opening itself was a special moment, with Ivor cutting the ribbon while Amanda and Billie held the yellow ribbon in place.
Residents also enjoyed getting hands-on with planting, creating their own herb gardens and potting bee-friendly plants to help make the outdoor space even more colourful and inviting. Images from the day show equipment ready for planting, while David and carer Billie proudly showed off their soil-covered fingers afterwards. Another lovely photo captures David and Janka laughing together as they filled plant pots.
Music from Neil Tebay added to the celebration, with his outdoor performance helping to get everyone in the party spirit. Residents were pictured dancing hand in hand, including Muriel and Jean, and Jean and Catherine, while others enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine and chatting with friends.
It was a wonderful occasion centred on nature, companionship and community, with residents fully involved in creating a garden space that will be enjoyed for many months to come.
